1) Why have online ACH payment requirements changed?
AKF USA has transitioned to a new platform and payment processor, which now requires ACH payments to include account ownership verification. This added step enhances the security of your bank account and personal information. It also aligns with current industry standards and regulations for the ACH network, helping to ensure the secure and efficient electronic transfer of funds for both individuals and businesses.
2) What is the process for Bank Account Verification for ACH Payments?
If you choose to donate via the ACH payment method, you are required to verify your bank account ownership before the donation can be processed. Here’s how the process works:
- Submit Your Donation:
Complete the online donation form and select ACH as your payment method.
- Wait for Micro-Deposits:
Within 1–2 business days, you will receive two small micro-deposits (each less than $1.00) in your bank account. These will come from our payment processor, Stripe.
- Check Your Email:
You will receive a donation acknowledgment email shortly after submitting your donation.
- Verify the Amounts:
Reply to the acknowledgment email with the exact amounts of the two micro-deposits. Please ensure your email is directed to [email protected]
- Confirmation: Once we receive and verify the correct amounts, your donation will be officially processed.
Important:
If you do not verify your account, your donation will not be processed.
